The venture got off to a roaring start, but sputtered after a couple of years, prompting John to turn to his uncle for a boost. Their original concept was to create a corporate-team building and entertainment venue built around kart racing and arcade games. Hamann, a native of Colombia, has been operations director of the enterprise that morphed into AIKG since 2001 when he and John Andretti opened Andretti Speed Lab in Roswell.
